Time--is never time at all, you can never ever leave without leaving a piece of you and our lives are forever changed. We will never be the same, the more you change, the less you feel--believe, believe in me, believe.

Tonight, at ten past midnight, I stepped outside my front door to find the gorgeous night sky above and a beautiful evening awaiting. Tonight was not like any other night for any other night would either be too cold to enjoy the outdoors at this hour or too late to be out by ones self--because tonight was different. I felt as if I needed to get out of the house, I needed to be by myself to think. So as I stepped out of the house in shorts, a hoodie and flip flops with my four legged friend shortly behind, I found the night welcomed me.

Have a little faith in me.

I watched my feet with every step I took, the ground freshly wet with spring rain--rain has this unfathomable capability of being able to make everything seem new again. As I watched Holly spring from puddle to puddle, filled with this great joy and completely ruining the bath I had given her earlier, I couldn't help but smile and just be happy with the moment. There is something beautiful that exists when we dwell no longer in our regrets of the past or our worries of the future and we just live in the moment.

It's hard to get by on just a smile--but it's not impossible.
