A Hunger For Things That Are Deeper.
Today was yet another action packed day as I attempted to fill my day with as much as I possibly could. This morning, I got out of the way my usual routine--a run around the campus for an hour and a half, a shower because I was inevitably gross after the run, a nap because I was tired from waking up before my body wanted to, a little bit of cleaning around the house because, honestly, I've become someone who likes things to be clean over the last year...alas all these things are rather boring and nothing out of the normal.
This afternoon Ryan, Nick and I headed out to the backyard for a little basketball--a game of 'horse' followed by '21'. It was however interupted in the middle for a branch that was in the way of our shots. Needless to say, this branch took a good amount of work and it still didn't want to come down! We were swinging off of it, pulling, twisting, and wrenching at this silly thing and we had no dice in actually getting it off the tree.

As you can tell--getting that branch down was a game unto itself!!! After shooting hoops, Ryan was kind enough to buy the food to cook us a beautiful meal of steaks, bbq'd potatoes and caesar salad. After this most wonderful meal, we drove to his place so he could change and shower before we went out to Unrau's housewarming party thing (for Ryan had biked ninety blocks to my house from the North end of the city!). When he was getting ready, Nick and I googled Superstore to find a Superstore liquorstore near to Unrau's place so we could get him a housewarming gift!
I think we did well...Three cases of Alexander Keiths later (12 packs)...

The night was just amazing, sitting around talking the night away as we all laugh and remembered good times from last year. Speaking of remembering old times, I had to get a picture with these three guys for they were some of the first people I met last year when I moved up to this strange city...(I love these guys so much, and yes--ladies--they are single!)
