Game Day.
We've never been so close, to be so far...
For once--I'm too tired to write, Friday night had more of a toll on my body than I was aware of at that point in time. I should have followed in my roommates footsteps in going to bed last night at six o'clock.
Let's just say, today--I saw something amazing for today I sat in the stands and watched first hand the IRB Woman's Rugby World Cup. I gazed intently upon Team Canada as they battled for bronze against Team France. I yelled and cheered as I waved my Canadian flag--I even made up a little dance for when Canada scored a try. It was just indescribeable to see some of my teammates from Team Alberta on the field proudly now representing our country. But sadly after struggling for the lead, Canada came out defeated. Next up? The gold medal match. I cheered from the stands once again (nearly lost my voice) as New Zealand triumphed over England to their third consecutive IRB Championship Title.

I honestly never thought I'd be so priveleged to be sitting in the stands watching New Zealand compete in Rugby. Imagine that...
